International
Fund for Animal Welfare
During the House of Commons debate on the Species at Risk Act, a
variety of birds, fish and insects invaded the Parliament Buildings
in the hope of drawing attention to this important Bill.
Every Minister and Member of Parliament was invited to adopt a
species on Canada’s endangered list. At an enjoyable and
original Parliament Hill reception organized by the Quadra team,
MPs were given a certificate identifying the endangered species
that was entrusted to them, as well as an information booklet on
its habitat and the dangers that threaten its survival.
